Canada Day, Part 3

PI forgot to show this pic of the fabulous Museum of History taken from the Alexandra Bridge:
It's wonderfully quirky and swervy.
Here it is from the site:
Notice the sky.  Foreshadowing.
After determining the wait for the water taxi back to the Ottawa side was too long, Scott and I decided to hoof it back over the bridge. Great view of The Hill.

But guess what we west coasters were without?  Umbrellas and rain jackets.
Not sure if you can tell, but it was POURING. We took refuge under a tree with many other ill-prepared travellers and locals.
Back to the hotel, soaked through.

Rain comes and goes more quickly here, it seems, so the sun returned for a bit, then we had thunder and lightning at dinner, then light sprinkles for the fireworks. Our viewing platform, on the terrace of the hotel, was perfect.  What a blast!
I ❤️ 🇨🇦!!!!
