Mount Allison University

Advice to my younger self: go here, not UBC. Small, intimate, accessible, prestigious, humble, progressive. Student-teacher ratio is better than in Kindergarten classes in BC.

A couple of the original buildings on campus. Imagine taking classes in there.

We met with David Mawhinney, Mt. A archivist, who had done some digging about Scott's great grandma, Gladys Haviland Purdy. Gladys completed her diploma in piano teaching there in 1910.  There is a wonderful record on file of a performance she gave there in the early 1900s. David even knew that she moved to Nelson after leaving New Brunswick.
I think David has one of the best jobs in the world. He agrees.

I have an awesome job too -- torturing my daughters with selfies. "Mum, NO!"
