Final Halifax images

Pretty view up the street to the Citadel grounds.

Scott admiring in the Maritime Museum (a decent rival to Vancouver's, though Scott said boat building was woefully underrepresented ).

Excellent section in the Maritime Museum about the devastating Halifax explosion in Dec. 1916.

Whiners' fate.

Gorgeous window detail.

I happened to have bought a Maud Lewis calendar at the National Gallery in Ottawa.  I have  always loved Maud Lewis; how did I not know she was from Nova Scotia?!  Her one-room home is in the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia!  Must see before we fly home next week.

In contrast, a bit of street art.

More colour. I wish all picnic tables and chairs were bright.

Nice view to the clock tower at the Citadel.

And so, after beautiful pit stop, we were on our way. Enough of the city; let's get going to some coastal towns.  Better put on more layers.
